Do you really believe reincarnation and past lives are real?
I do, for reasons both personal and professional. I myself was regressed to the middle ages by Dr. Weiss. That story can be read in his book, "Miracles Happen." I have also successfully regressed approximately two thousand clients. It may sound odd as a job description, but I do take people to past lives for a living. Frankly, the lives shared and the images my clients see are very often things no one would choose to see, or make up. Just as many of our past lives were pleasant, many were not. It is often the most difficult ones that hold the greatest answers, as to our problems in this life. When we experience a regression, our souls now have a 'screen' upon which to show us, remind us, of difficult lives in the past which are affecting us now, in this life. People travel great distances and make a real effort to see me for a regression. After going through all that, would you "make-up" a difficult life, from long ago, replete with great detail and even greater emotion? Yes, I do believe reincarnation is real, but you don't have to take my word for it.

We are living in these bodies during a very special and unique time. These days, the curtain between this dimension and the one our souls go to when our bodies die is being drawn-back. For many years, the most vocal opposition to the entire concept of reincarnation has come from doctors. These detractors have argued that there is no soul which "leaves the body" when we die. Despite tens of thousands of stories of near death experiences, or NDE's, these doctors have vehemently argued that every one of them was a delusion. They asserted that anoxia, or lack of oxygen to the brain, caused these 'delusions' that we leave our bodies and go to a blissful dimension when we die.

But this is a special and unique time. These days, many other doctors are stepping forward, to talk and write about the NDE's of their patients, and their visits to "the other side." Yes, more experiential truth about the existence of the soul and it's experiences after physical death, but now coming more and more from doctors themselves. I have now regressed a number of doctors who have shared beautiful, clear and meaningful past life memories. A notable neurosurgeon who had an NDE of his own has written a very popular book called, "Proof of Heaven." We are beginning to see that education, credentials and experience do increase an individual's credibility in the public's eye, and credibility matters greatly in this field. In part because of these professionals who are coming forward, a kind of "quickening" is taking place. The curtain between this life and dimension and the one our souls go home to when we leave the physical state, is being drawn-back, all around the world.

There don't appear to be any educational degrees, credentials or professional standards necessary, to call yourself a Past Life Regressionist. In fact, it appears anyone can study Past Life Regression online, in the comfort of their pajamas. In this context, how can someone seeking a good regressionist tell the professionals from the practicing amateurs?
Yes, these days, people from all walks of life are "coming out of the woodwork" to dabble in Past Life Regression. Because of this, credibility matters more than ever, and there certainly are professional standards to look for. Education, credentials and professional experience are as important in selecting who to regress you as they are in selecting a doctor for a procedure that you need. Would you allow someone with no degrees in psychology and no experience as a licensed counselor or psychotherapist to guide you into a past life? What if you encounter something very frightening and traumatic? Will the novice/amateur panic and pull you out of it, instead of working through it carefully, to reveal the hidden message and truth you most needed to understand? A number of people have come to see me, with just such a story to tell. Of having been yanked-out of their experience at a critical juncture, by someone dabbling, practicing, who suddenly found themselves out of their depth. More harm than healing can be caused, by someone without the education, clinical background, skills and experience to stay calm and work through to the important message hidden in the traumatic event.

The question of who to choose to regress you is an important one, with a simple answer. Do they have the right education, with a graduate degree in the field of Psychology or Clinical Social Work? Did they develop and establish the strong skill set necessary to be a good licensed therapist before they turned to studying and doing past life regression therapy? If so, it is no accident that they are good at it. It is simply a matter of their having put in the years of study, education and professional work experience to be really good at what they do. Their focused intentionality, hard work and dedication became their reality. They went to school and practiced their profession for years to prepare themselves for this new and powerful form of therapy. Therapists make much better regressionists, for a number of reasons, as Dr. Weiss clearly states in his second book, "Through Time, Into Healing" on page 31:

"Regression therapy consists of much more than hypnotic technique. Before the hypnotic process can be initiated, a skilled regression therapist will spend a great deal of time taking a history, asking questions, getting answers and going very specifically and in great detail into particular areas of importance. And after the regression is completed, after the patient has emerged from the hypnotic state, it is then necessary to integrate the feelings, insight and information the session has elicited into the current life situation. This integration requires considerable therapeutic skill and experience because the material evoked is often powerful and emotionally charged. Therefore, I do not recommend past life therapy done by a therapist who is not certified or accredited by a traditional accrediting body, who does not have a degree such as M.D., Ph.D., M.S.W., or other traditional degrees. Nontraditional past life therapists may be less likely to let a memory evolve at its own pace and less likely to have the skills necessary to help the patient integrate the material."

After I read the above paragraph, I decided to go to graduate school. Dr. Weiss clearly emphasized the necessity for higher education, licensure and experience as a professional therapist, and I wanted to do it right. Now, having studied human psychology and spirituality my whole adult life, I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field, and have been a psychotherapist for twenty years. Past Life Regression is not a parlor game, and Dr. Weiss wisely emphasized the necessity for professional training and experience as a therapist, before attempting it. When you choose a regressionist to work with you, do so consciously, with great care and thought. What is their educational background? Do they have a graduate degree in psychology, replete with years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist? After all, this is your regression, and you deserve an experienced professional, not an amateur "dabbler."

What is Past Life Regression Therapy?
Most of us have lived many other lives...our same soul, with many different bodies. Past life regression therapy is a therapeutic modality by which it is possible to retrieve memories our soul has of lives it has lived before. The soul possesses a kind of cellular memory, and can remember every experience it has ever had in any body, in all of our previous lives. Remembering these lives and important experiences and relationships within them, can often reveal the root cause of a number of different kinds of problems. These problems can be carried over into this life we are living now. Lifelong illnesses and specific symptoms such as chronic pain, unexplainable fears and phobias, depression, severe anxiety, panic attacks, repeating destructive relationships, etc., often have their beginnings in another life. Past Life Regression Therapy provides an opportunity to see and remember when these symptoms first began. As we become aware of how, when and where the issue first began, our understanding can result in growth and amazing changes. Significant reduction or complete resolution and elimination of symptoms and problems does occur. This is often true, whether the problem is emotional, spiritual, physical...or all three.

Questions

Do you have weekend appointments?
Yes, I do have weekend appointments, and sometimes next day appointments are available, due to occasional rescheduling.

Do I have to believe in reincarnation to experience a past life memory?
Not really, many people who didn't believe in reincarnation have been gifted with powerful, clear memories of themselves in other lives. Moreover, many of these same individuals have experienced relief from emotional, spiritual and physical problems through regression therapy, even though they didn't believe in reincarnation. There is a wealth of anecdotal evidence to prove that the method can provide healing and transformative understanding whether you believe in it or not.

 Any other questions?
I will be happy to answer any of your questions regarding a regression with me. You can write me   at  dejaviewer@hotmail.com,

What does the regression experience feel like?
Through a series of deepening, relaxing visualizations, you will gently be brought to a state of completely relaxed, focused concentration. Images will begin to come to you, and your role is to observe, share and not question these gifts from your spirit. To the extent that you are able to allow yourself to completely relax, view and share these images, you are capable of having a more helpful, complete, and spiritually profound regression. This is a safe, very relaxing and peaceful experience. If you experience difficult memories and emotions or significant discomfort during the regression, immediate relief of these feelings will be provided by me. It is important to remember that you are always safe, and actually in complete control. Should you wish to, you can stop the regression at any time. Continuing on is usually more illuminating and beneficial, however, and I can help you do that without any discomfort.

Can I bring my pet?
I love animals of all kinds, but pets can disrupt sessions, and for this reason it is best they do not accompany you.

How long is a session with you?
The entire session typically lasts 3-5 hours, from start to finish. That sounds like a long time, but it goes by very quickly and time is necessary to be thorough, and conduct an effective regression.

Can you guarantee that I will have a past life experience?
From my professional experience, and having studied with the best in this field, no one can do that. Recently, while being interviewed on the "Coast To Coast" radio program, Dr. Weiss said that roughly 8 out of 10 people can be regressed. In my experience, that is an accurate percentage, if the regressionist is highly experienced and capable. This means that roughly two out of ten cannot be regressed. There can be a number of reasons for this. Many people are very left-brained in their thinking, for example. It can be difficult for some of these clients to turn off their ever active, doubting and questioning "monkey mind". This can interfere with the reception of clear images and information. Some people actively resist being regressed, and produce all manner of resistances, both subtle and obvious. The reason for resistant reactions are many, mostly subconscious, and ultimately very personal and unique to the individual. Most of the people I regress really do want, and do have, an experience. I spend a fair amount of time during the first part of the session teaching clients how to ignore their left brain's doubtful questions, and "allow" the process. This maximizes their ability to receive clear images, and have a beautiful regression experience. As a result, I have successfully regressed many "left-brained" clients who doubted they could have an experience. These have included CEOs, doctors, nurses, attorneys, scientists, engineers and physics professors.

Past Life Regression Therapy

     Michael Lloyd Brown, MSW, LCSW

What can Past Life Therapy do for me, in this life today?
Many people are able to remember their soul's purpose for being here this time. It can also awaken us to limiting beliefs, resistances and traumas from past lives which are holding us back, and keeping us from experiencing joy and fulfilling our soul's purpose. Many people repeat negative, destructive patterns of behavior, but do not understand why. As opposed to lengthy, costly treaments to address these issues, Past Life Therapy can rapidly remove many lifelong problems. Once the client is aware and understands when the issue originated, there is often an immediate reduction or elimination of symptoms.

Can my friend or spouse watch the regression?
No one but myself and the client are allowed in the regression room, for a number of reasons. Complete relaxation is necessary to have a very good regression. Clients may try to edit what they are seeing, hearing or feeling, if someone close to them is in the room. You will not say anything you do not want to say, but one cannot edit their experience while in the midst of having it, and not affect the quality, clarity and essence of the messages received. All sessions are recorded, and if the client wishes to share their recording after the regression, that is always their choice to make.

How do the sessions proceed? What can I expect?
A Past Life Regression (PLR) with Michael takes place in a very private setting, his home, in Sedona. The home is surrounded by Sedona's most spectacular red rock vistas. The client is welcomed by Michael at the door, and escorted to a comfortable club chair in the living room. The first one to two hours of the session involve Michael and the client getting to know and be comfortable with one another. This is an opportunity to talk about why you would like to have a regression. Any current issues of concern that the client has are discussed, whether they involve personal relationships, or other emotional, spiritual or physical issues. Any and all questions you may have about PLR will also be answered. Once they are, a complete description of the regression process and the purpose for it are provided. Michael will then begin to focus on teaching you how to fully maximize the experience of your regression, and allow the images from a past life to stream to you. Information is exchanged and insight is gained, by both the client and Michael. This initial meeting and conversation creates an increasing level of ease, comfort and trust, and that provides for a more relaxing, complete and successful regression experience. You will then be guided to the office where the regression takes place. It is a pleasant, private, quiet and extremely comfortable space. The energy in the regression room is wonderful, the vibrational frequency very high and clean. Regressions in this space have been reaching much deeper levels. Perhaps as a result of the high spiritual energy of Sedona itself, they have been more powerful, spiritually informative, and transformative for clients.

Past Life Regression is best described as deeply relaxed, focused concentration. Gently closing your eyes  you will be brought through a series of guided imagery techniques to deeper and deeper levels of full-body relaxation. This induction technique is very pleasant and peaceful, and never hurried. You will be gently guided down to Theta, the brain wave state we reach just before we slip into Delta, or sleep. When you are deeply and completely relaxed, almost asleep, the actual regression experience will begin. PLR is quite unlike most people's conception of what hypnosis is. You are aware of where you are, who you are with and what you are saying at all times, and will not say anything you do not want to. You can stop the regression at any time, simply by saying you wish to. However, continuing on, sharing and moving through the images and experiences you are seeing and feeling from this former life is the better choice. That will provide much more information, clarity and awareness of how this former life relates to the one you are living now.

Your emotional and physical comfort and safety are paramount, and ensured and maintained by Michael at all times. Regressions often involve highly emotional experiences, but there is nothing to fear, as this life took place long ago, and what you see that happened in that life can result in profound understanding and epiphanies. These awarenesses are capable of providing great healing, of an emotional, spiritual and even physical nature. While no one can guarantee a Past Life Experience, most of Michael's clients do remember one or more lives. Clients are very often able to identify souls from former lives that are with them again, in this one. Information regarding what your soul came here to learn this time, as well as how you can maximize your spiritual growth in this life is an important element of the regression. Just as every soul is unique, so is every Past Life Regression Experience, and the lessons that come with it. The regression will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

When the regression ends, the client is guided back out to the comfort of the club chair for a dialogue about what they saw and experienced. Questions regarding the regression are answered, and the client is often able to see how past lives, relationships and experiences have influenced their current life. When we reincarnate, our souls come back here each time, in a new body, to learn more lessons. Emotional, spiritual or physical issues in this life often have their beginnings in another life. The soul seems to possess and hold a kind of 'cellular memory' of every event we have ever experienced, at any time, in all of our previous lives. After the regression, those memories and lessons you were shown by your soul are more clearly understood, discussed and integrated into your current awareness. A flash drive, loaded with a digital recording of your regression is provided at the end of the session. Clients are encouraged to write to Michael in the days following their regression, should they have any additional questions.
